Who’s Public Enemy #5 on the Judicial Watch List of Washington’s “Ten Most Wanted Corrupt Politicians” for 2009 ? Why none other than one of my favorite targets of scorn Eric “nation-of-cowards” Holder. Here is their summary of how he made their list, and why we should all look forward to him being thwarted in the future. The KSM trial in NYC decision and reading the “Fruit-of-Kaboom” bomber his Miranda rights are not even on this list but I suspect the investigation into who gave the order for the latter will lead back to Holder. I bet 50 cents. Any takers?

Attorney General Eric Holder: Tim Geithner can be sure he won’t be hounded about his tax-dodging by his colleague Eric Holder, US Attorney General. Judicial Watch strongly opposed Holder because of his terrible ethics record, which includes:

• obstructing an FBI investigation of the theft of nuclear secrets from Los Alamos Nuclear Laboratory;
• rejecting multiple requests for an independent counsel to investigate alleged fundraising abuses by then-Vice President Al Gore in the Clinton White House;
• undermining the criminal investigation of President Clinton by Kenneth Starr in the midst of the Lewinsky investigation;
• and planning the violent raid to seize then-six-year-old Elian Gonzalez at gunpoint in order to return him to Castro’s Cuba.

Moreover, there is his soft record on terrorism. Holder bypassed Justice Department procedures to push through Bill Clinton’s scandalous presidential pardons and commutations, including for 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican terrorist group that orchestrated approximately 120 bombings in the United States, killing at least six people and permanently maiming dozens of others, including law enforcement officers.

His record in the current administration is no better. As he did during the Clinton administration, Holder continues to ignore serious incidents of corruption that could impact his political bosses at the White House. For example,

1. Holder has refused to investigate charges that the Obama political machine traded VIP access to the White House in exchange for campaign contributions – a scheme eerily similar to one hatched by Holder’s former boss, Bill Clinton in the 1990s.
2. The Holder Justice Department also came under fire for dropping a voter intimidation case against the New Black Panther Party. On Election Day 2008, Black Panthers dressed in paramilitary garb threatened voters as they approached polling stations.
3. Holder has also failed to initiate a comprehensive Justice investigation of the notorious organization ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now), which is closely tied to President Obama. There were allegedly more than 400,000 fraudulent ACORN voter registrations in the 2008 campaign. And then there were the journalist videos catching ACORN Housing workers advising undercover reporters on how to evade tax, immigration, and child prostitution laws.

Holder’s controversial decisions on new rights for terrorists and his attacks on previous efforts to combat terrorism remind many of the fact that his former law firm has provided and continues to provide pro bono representation to terrorists at Guantanamo Bay.

Holder’s politicization of the Justice Department makes one long for the days of Alberto Gonzales.

Peter Schiff gives the Libertarian Party some tough medicine

I love Peter Schiff, my favorite financial heretic. People sit there listening to him, shake their heads, laugh nervously and then – he ends up being right AGAIN! His advice here to the Libertarians is similarly astute.

That said, I cannot go for Ron Paul completely because of the 911 conspiracy theories that seem to stick to him. I do agree with many of his other views and many of his followers. Consider me an ally.

Peter Schiff, keynote speaker at the LP of CT Convention told the audience:

“that it is a waste of resources running as a minor party. “We haven’t won anything in 40 years” and “we don’t have another 40 years to try.” Instead, he recommends joining the Republican party while it is in shambles in order to expand the influence of the libertarian wing.”

Lots of comments flying around after BHO’s Nobel Prize winning yesterday. Observing whose side they are on will be helpful in the future.

Huang Ciping, an engineer turned activist who is executive director of Wei’s Washington-based foundation, said that China “has come to such a turning point that the prize might have helped.”

“The Nobel Peace Prize committee has the full right to decide to give coal to those who suffer and struggle or to present flowers to the powerful,” she said.

But she said of the decision: “It is both a pity for the Chinese people and a danger to world peace.“

Rebiya Kadeer, the exiled leader of China’s Uighur minority, congratulated Obama but called on him to use the added prestige to put pressure on “dictatorships like China.”

“I am very happy that he got it. Now he has to do something with the award. It raises expectations on him to stand up for oppressed nations,” she told AFP.

Some 200 people died in July in clashes between Uighurs and China’s majority Han in the country’s worst ethnic bloodletting in decades.

The Prez has refused to meet with the Dalai Lama during his recent visit, which is not merely symbolic.

James B. Chen, a cancer researcher at the University of Arkansas, feared that the award could be seen as affirmation of focusing on economic ties with China or of Obama’s decision to avoid the Dalai Lama.

“For nearly all of my friends, their first reaction was that they were very, very disappointed,” Chen said. “They thought this is a major setback for human rights.”

The White House has denied it snubbed the Dalai Lama, saying Obama will meet him after the president visits China next month.

The Dalai Lama is paying his first visit to Washington since 1991 that does not include a meeting with the president. But he said he had no hard feelings and sent a congratulatory letter to Obama.

The Tibetan monk, who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989 despite strong Chinese protests, told Obama that “the founding fathers of the United States have made this country the greatest democracy and a champion of freedom and liberty.

“It is, therefore, important for today’s American leaders to adopt principled leadership based on these high ideals,” he said.

“Such an approach will not only enhance the reputation of the United States, but also contribute tremendously to reducing tension in the world.”

The former winners Kofi Annan and Desmond Tutu voiced praise, the latter lauding the Nobel Committee’s “surprising but imaginative choice”.

But Lech Walesa, the dissident turned Polish President, who won the Peace Prize in 1983, spoke for many, declaring: “So soon? Too early. He has no contribution so far.”

Mr Obama’s domestic critics leapt on the award as evidence of foreigners fawning over an untested “celebrity” leader. Rush Limbaugh, the US right-wing commentator, said: “This fully exposes the illusion that is Barack Obama.”

Do you see what I see? If we pay attention the world demonstrates, by the law of attraction, the nature of all beings. The prudent bird chooses its perch.

Ten minutes that will make many disparate pieces of information currently floating  on the airwaves snap into place and make sense. The individuals risking their lives and safety by speaking here are genuine experts and scholars on the subject: Robert Spencer is the director of Jihad Watch; Bat Yeor is a Jew whose community was  forced out of Egypt when she was a child, but who is now the most informed and insightful contemporary scholar of those unique Islamic institutions which regulate the relations between Muslims and non-Muslims; Walid Shoebat is a former Palestinian terrorist who converted and became a Christian activist.  

From the Hadith:

Bukhari (52:269) – “The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit.’”  The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed men by Muhammad’s men after he “guaranteed” them safe passage (see Additional Notes below).

Bukhari (49:857) – “He who makes peace between the people by inventing good information or saying good things, is not a liar.”  Lying is permitted when the end justifies the means.

Bukhari (84:64-65) – Speaking from a position of power at the time, Ali confirms that lying is permissible in order to deceive an “enemy.”

Qur’an (5:51) – “O you who believe! do not take the Jews and the Christians for friends; they are friends of each other; and whoever amongst you takes them for a friend, then surely he is one of them; surely Allah does not guide the unjust people.”

Qur’an (3:118) – “O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people, they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater still; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you, if you will understand.”  This verse not only warns Muslims not to take non-Muslims as friends, but it establishes the deep-seated paranoia that the rest of the world is out to get them.

Qur’an (5:80) – “You will see many of them befriending those who disbelieve; certainly evil is that which their souls have sent before for them, that Allah became displeased with them and in chastisement shall they abide.”  Those Muslims who befriend unbelievers will abide in hell.
